Kofta curry

Kofta curry
4 serving

  •           1 recipe fish kofta
  •          ½ cup finely chopped onion
  •          3 tablespoons cooking oil
  •          ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  •      ¼ teaspoon ground garlic
  •          ¼ teaspoon ground turmeric
  •          ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  •          ¼ teaspoon ground cumin
  •          ¼ teaspoon coriander
  •          3 green chilies
  •          2 tablespoons yogurt
  •          2 teaspoon chopped coriander leaves
  •          ½ teaspoon sugar
  •          Salt to taste


Heat the oil in a frying pan. Fry the onion golden brown. Add the ground spices mixed in 1 cup of water, boil till oil begins to separate. Stir and fry for 1 minute. Add the yogurt,sugar,salt and 1-2 cups of water. Stir and simmer for 5 minutes.

Add the koftas, green chilies and coriander leaves. Shake the pan to coat koftas with gravy, cover and keep over low heat for a few minutes.

Finally: Serve hot with boiled rice, pulao, chapatti or parata.
