Potato bhaji


                                       Potato bhaji
                                                             (Alu bhaji)
  • ½ kg potato                  
  • 4 tablespoons chopped onion  
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons cooking oil 
  • Coriander leaves or mint leaves(optional)
  • salt to taste                

·        Pell the potatoes. Shred moderately thin, wash and strain.


·        In a frying pan heat the oil, fry the onion golden brown, Add the potatoes, ¼ cup of water and salt. Stir,Cover and cook over moderate heat for 5-6 minutes, then over a low heat until cooked and water has evaporated. Stir-fry for a  few second. Remove from heat.

Season with pepper, coriander or mint leaves.

Finally : Serve hot with chapatti, parata or bread.
