Plain Pulao

- 450 g pulao rice
- ¼ cup butter oil/ghee
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 2 sticks 2.5cm piece cinnamon
- 2 cardamoms
- Salt to taste
Rinse the rice and drain
water.

In saucepan put all
ingredient, add 4 cups of water bring to boil. Stir, Cover and cook over
moderate heat for 10 minutes. Turn heat to minimum and simmer for 10 minutes.
Do not open the lid and do not stir. Next, Remove from heat.
Pea Pulao:- To the recipe above, add 3/4 cup of
shelled green peas before simmering.
