Boiled chickpeas

  • 1 cup Bengal gram/chickpeas
  • 1 teaspoon shredded ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • ½ tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 2 green chilies
  • Salt to taste



Rinse the chickpeas. Add 3-4 cups of water . bring to boil, add salt ginger and garlic. Boil until chickpeas are soft broken . add the sugar and green chilies.

In a saucepan heat the oil and fry the onion brown. Pour in the chickpeas and remove from heat.


Finally:Serve hot with luchi or boiled rice
