Boiled chickpeas
- 1 cup Bengal gram/chickpeas
- 1 teaspoon shredded ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- ½ tablespoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons chopped onion
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
- 2 green chilies
- Salt to taste
Rinse the chickpeas. Add
3-4 cups of water . bring to boil, add salt ginger and garlic. Boil until
chickpeas are soft broken . add the sugar and green chilies.

In a saucepan heat the
oil and fry the onion brown. Pour in the chickpeas and remove from heat.
Finally:Serve hot with luchi or boiled rice
